Colored cables in LSZH jacket
Recent requirements and trends in the market of cable and wire products dictate the need to move away from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) jacket towards LSZH (low-smoke, halogen-free) and further to NGLS and HFLT jackets.
That is why we are gradually reducing the number of stock positions of PVC jacketed cable in the LANMASTER product line, and at the same time we are increasing the number of LSZH jacketed cables.
Next batch of LANMASTER Category 5e cable in low-smoke jacket in eight different colors arrived recently at the warehouse. The item LAN-5EUTP-LSZH-xx is not new, but in the current modification the color code was added at the end of the old item.
Why use different colors in the SCS?
The use of cables of different colors directly affects the productivity of the installer, the percentage of errors in cable termination, the speed of fault location, and thus the efficiency of installation and operation of the entire data and voice cabling network.
For example, you can use a different color cable for each floor. In this way, you separate the cable flows coming from each floor on racks and cabinets. You can also color-code the segments of the system: video surveillance - blue, workstations - yellow, Wi-Fi access points - green, etc.
The searching for cable and bundling a cable harness is considerably simplified. Thanks to the availability of colored cables, modules, and patch cords in the LANMASTER product range, a cable line can be fully built in one color.
