Four pairs UTP cable has a following design:
Conductor is a solid 24 AWG wire with HDPE (high density polyethylene) insulation. Two conductors comprise a single twisted pair.

The cable consists of four pairs, each pair twisted with different but specially selected step. There is a ripcord under cable jacket for termination process convenience. The jacket is cut when ripcord is pulled. The cable jacket has per meter length marks.
