Two pairs cables are budget solution for voice, fire alarm, security and Ethernet network (except Gigabit Ethernet which requires 4-pairs cable) cabling, for connecting xDSL modems.

The cable comprises two pairs of solid copper 24 AWG conductors. Each conductor is insulated with HDPE (high density polyethylene). Two conductors are twisted with specially selected step in a single twisted pair. Two twisted pairs are covered with single PVC jacket.
