The sensor is designed to detect water leaks in a room. The sensor can be installed in a telecommunications closet, data center, server room, or office space.

The principle of operation is based on the electrical conductivity of water. In the event of water ingress, the sensor contacts close and the information about the actuation is sent to the monitoring device.

The leak sensor is an unassembled, hermetically sealed construction. Inside the metal housing there is an electrical circuit, two electrodes and an electrical cable inlet. For hermetic sealing, the whole construction is filled with epoxy resin compound. There are two electrodes built into the base with a diameter of 48 mm, which trigger the sensor when flooded. There are two mounting holes for fixing the sensor to the surface. For power supply of the sensor and transmission of control signals to the actuator, a cable is used which is hermetically inserted into the structure through the upper side.

For use with TWT-PDVMT1/TWT-PDVMT3 power distribution units.
